Job Summary:

Senior FP&A Analyst, LATAM Local Markets (Temporary) position reports to the Executive Finance Director and is fully responsible for all financial aspects of the Latin American Local Markets business.  The position is accountable for F, P&A, accounting and reporting, internal controls, to include support with the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on accounts and results to the group’s Financial Management in accordance with the group’s financial calendar.
  • Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the division’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
  • Assist in quarterly budget preparation with various departments and submitting them to the Executive Finance Director.
  • Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy, and focused analytic review.
  • In charge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for the business unit.
  • Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them.
Monthly Close
  • Prepare journal entries, analyze accounts, prepare statements, in coordination with internal and external accounting staff, and assist Executive Finance Director with monthly close reporting.
  • Take the lead on accurate and timely reporting during the month-end closing process.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related systems reports for accuracy, completeness, timely submission and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc analysis requests from Finance and other internal teams.
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
  • Analyze monthly reporting and inform the Regional Sales Manager/Executive Finance Director of major issues.
  • Ensure compliance of all policies and procedures
  • Monitor spending against budgets.

 

Miscellaneous/Ad Hoc

  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:
  • BS in Accounting/Finance/Economics
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience necessary, in similar position, or in Senior F, P&A position
  • SAP knowledge, required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel
  • Oriented to problem solving and has strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Pro-active, mature, independent, and able to prioritize numerous tasks
