We are currently seeking a meticulous and reliable Bookkeeper to join our finance team and help manage our financial records with accuracy and efficiency.
Job Summary: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including day-to-day bookkeeping, managing accounts receivable and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Manage accounts receivable ensuring timely invoicing and statements.
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and assist with audits.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of industry-specific accounting regulations and practices.
• Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, CPB).
