Job Description

Join Our Leadership Team: Cheeca Lodge & Spa, a premier luxury resort in Islamorada, FL, seeks a dedicated Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. This role is critical for overseeing all Food and Beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, room service, spa offerings, and banquets.

Job Summary: The Assistant Director of Food and Beverage will oversee all F&B operations, ensuring quality and service standards are met, and profits are maximized. This role involves working closely with the Director of Food and Beverage to ensure consistent hiring and training standards, developing strategic plans, and maintaining high guest service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and direct guest service standards within all F&B outlets to drive growth and profitability. Collaborate with the F&B Director to implement strategic plans for the F&B department. Achieve budgetary goals related to revenue, cost, and profit percentages. Ensure proper ordering of supplies, wine, liquor, beer, and linen. Complete timely and accurate monthly inventories of all F&B products except food. Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training team members. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards. Manage the floor during shifts to ensure appropriate coverage. Monitor and adjust staffing levels as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Experience:

Strong computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience in a leadership role in a similar operational area preferred.
