The Product Stewardship Senior Analyst for VF harnesses the power of internal standards set by the global product stewardship team to have a positive impact on the design and development of products. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable product safety requirements and should be proficient in current and emerging industry legislation and regulations. Additionally, the Product Stewardship Senior Analyst should be proactively and continuously engaged with brands' product development strategies, using this information to implement and validate a comprehensive strategy to ensure products and materials are compliant and safe.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Support global product stewardship in the development and management of VF's global product safety standards, including the Product Safety Manual, Restricted Substances List document, and Product Labeling Manual. Partner with brands' product design, development, and material teams to conduct product design safety reviews to identify and eliminate potential foreseeable safety defects. Manage product safety requirements for brands by taking VF global standards and appropriately distill them to brand level product categories, implementing and validating these on VF sourced, owned production, licensee products, and gift with purchase/promotional items. This role will engage with cross-functional teams consisting of brand level design, development, material, legal, and testing teams to develop guidance and procedures that ensure all global product safety requirements are met. Lead the work on ensuring appropriate VF functions and brand teams have the applicable knowledge, training, and support to uphold their role in assuring product safety throughout design and development and throughout the production of a product to market placement. Work closely with the Product Stewardship Labeling Specialist and brands' labeling teams to help implement labeling requirements. Ensure that all functional and performance claims made about brands' products and materials are substantiated through appropriate testing or other validation methods. This role will work in collaboration with brand marketing and legal teams to review claim verbiage to modify/remove any unsupported statements. Develop and manage processes regarding U.S. state requirements, including chemical reporting obligations and state-specific product registrations. Manage wholesale and retail inquiries regarding VF position and stance statements, product inquiries, and surveys/questionnaires. Develop and own a cadence for monthly and quarterly reporting/KPIs, tell clear, concise, and insightful stories from analysis to various internal and external audiences. Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

BS degree in a related field is required. 3-5 years of experience in consumer product compliance, product safety, and chemistry Must be a creative problem solver with the ability to work collaboratively on complex issues. Must be a proficient communicator. Must be self-directed. Must be able to explain technical aspects to a non-technical audience. SPECIAL PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Apparel and Footwear Product Safety and Supply Chain experience. Exceptional analytical skills & attention for detail Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Domestic and international travel: 10%

Hiring Range:

$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
