This position is located in the Columbia-Pacific Northwest (CPN) Region, Office of the Regional Director, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office. The CPN EEO Office has oversight of the informal EEO complaint process, training, special emphasis program, diversity, and outreach programs for both the CPN and Upper Colorado Basin (UCB) Regions, encompassing approximately 2,000 employees.
Serves as the principal equal opportunity official in the CPN and UCB Regions on all aspects of the EEO and Affirmative Employment programs with responsibility for providing advice to decision makers at all organizational levels and recommending changes in procedures and practices designed to eliminate systemic barriers to these programs.
Develops, coordinates, implements, administers, and evaluates the Regions' EEO Program.
Manages the Pre-Complaint Counseling and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Programs, in accordance with EEOC regulations, and Department of the Interior (DOI) and Reclamation policy.
Manages the regional Affirmative Employment Program (AEP). Provides leadership in affirmative employment planning efforts to include outreach recruitment, position management, selection, training, promotion, career development, and incentives. Serves as program manager for the development and implementation of the Regions' multi-year AEP plan that addresses barriers to the recruitment, hiring, advancement, and retention of targeted groups.
Establishes partnerships with affinity groups, agency officials, and professional organizations to promote the outreach efforts of the organization.
