Anesthesia/critical care specialists for our quaternary care facility, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Join one of the nation’s largest, most respected health systems and experience what it means to live well. Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit integrated health system in the country is seeking Anesthesia Critical Care physicians to join our team at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.
**Job details**
- Full-time, split position - 50% time in critical care, 50% time in anesthesia
- Largest cardiac surgical program in Wisconsin
- Seven 12-hour shifts per month
- 30-bed CVICU:
- Post-op cardiac surgery including CABG, off-pump CAB, valve surgery, aortic surgery, and heart transplantation
- Advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support devices
- Thoracic surgery
- Vascular surgery
- ECMO (VV and VA)
- outstanding variety and the full breadth of cases from routine to complex. No OB, trauma or peds are required.
- Established cardiac and abdominal transplant programs
- Opportunity to do some of your own cases with some medical direction of lower risk cases
- Some cases may be done at our new surgery center, just minutes from the hospital
- Position offers flexibility - you create the scheduled that fits your lifestyle
- EPIC EMR
- Prior clinical experience or training with ECMO management is preferred
- Prior clinical experience or training in the management of post-op Cardiac surgical patients is desirable
- Prior experience with transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography desirable
- Residency training in Anesthesia required and Cardiac Anesthesia is desirable
- Fellowship trained in Critical Care Medicine required
- Board-eligibility or board-certification in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, and Advanced Peri-operative Transesophageal Echocardiography (desirable)
