This position is responsible for kitchen staff management, food preparation, menu development, food safety, quality, and presentation at The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar & Patio.

Job Functions (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
- Maintain high standards of food quality and preparation, while anticipating guest needs.
- Assist with developing menu items, creating recipes, sourcing ingredients, and maintaining updated costing.
- Interview, supervise, motivate, guide, train, counsel, and discipline (when needed) culinary team members on a daily basis.*
- Maintain proper inventory levels and control food and labor costs. Order ingredients and supplies.*
- Resolve guest and employee concerns.
- Inspect, evaluate, and correct food safety, sanitation, and work safety standards. Use a hands-on approach, along with coaching, to ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met.*
- Monitor compliance with company, property, and department policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment in good working order, submitting regular service repairs and requests as needed.*
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Industry Experience - Food and Beverage
- Experience in high - volume a la carte or banquet environments
- 18 years of age or older.
- Completion of high school or GED
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management (or related) preferred.
- Post-Employment - Must obtain RAMP Certification, ServSafe Manager and ServSafe Allergen Certificates.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of food and labor costs.
- Knowledge of ordering procedures and staff scheduling procedures.
- Skilled in the use of the Google Workspace, including Sheets and Docs.
