The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives.   As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.  Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so weâre committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.   

As a third party manufacturer facilities manager, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in design, planning, construction and maintenance of facilities and utilities partnering with the TPM. Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, and facilities expansion. Serves as liaison between the company and local municipalities and agencies related to facilities activities. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. This is an onsite opportunity in Austin, TX.

  • Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources within the assigned or related functions or groups
  • Facilitates others' participation in the continuous improvement program
  • Investigates and solves problems that impact work processes and personnel within or across units or departments
  • Implement business continuity plan

Experience You'll Bring

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in a Related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 9 years related work experience.
  • Expertise in Facility and Utility infostructure and maintenance best practices
  • Critical thinking and problem solving

The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 â $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
