Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to advancing patient care and safety, is looking for a contract Strategy Consultant - Healthcare. This is a remote contract position.

The Strategy Consultant will act as a senior technical functional leader responsible for managing strategic, enterprise-wide, cross-regional, and/or multi-disciplinary programs to drive exceptional business value for KP, managing evolving strategic priorities and providing strategic planning within and across programs to drive and ensure alignment and performance across the organization.

Resource will work closely with the regional and national Business Line leadership, key national and regional functional areas, other lines of business. The work includes assessments, identifying impacts, developing work plans, and identifying outcomes and critical path milestones to monitor performance or progress. Responsibilities may include executing on tactics and initiatives.

This individual will play a key role in keeping current on federal and state legislation related to individual and family plans, developing and executing implementation plans as needed. This individual will also be tasked with leading and coordinating projects and initiatives that cross functional areas, regions, and business lines.

Contract Duration: 9-Months

Desired Skills & Experience
Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Organizational Development (OD), or Project/Program Management. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent Project/Program Management certification. Completion of a Project Management educational training or certification program. Lean/Six Sigma certification. Other performance improvement certification (e.g., TOM, BPM, etc.).
Functional Experience (Preferred):
Minimum hands-on experience with a majority of the following:
Previous experience working within Healthcare IT environment. Minimum seven (7) years program management experience OR Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience in project management or a directly related field including minimum seven (7) years program management experience. Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with senior leadership to deliver cross-regional or multi-disciplinary strategic program management. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports. Five (5) years’ experience in business analysis. Four (4) years data analytics experience.
Technical Experience (Preferred):
Minimum hands-on experience with a majority of the following:
Four (4) years’ experience working with advanced Excel functions including, formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc. Three (3) years’ Healthcare IT experience. Four (4) years’ experience delivering presentations to executive management. Four (4) years’ experience working in a matrixed organization. Four (4) years’ experience working in a unionized environment. Four (4) years medical center operations project management experience. Four (4) years health plan administration experience. Four (4) years’ experience working for a Program Management Office (PMO). Four (4) years inter-regional project management experience. Four (4) years’ experience managing vendor contracts and relationships. Four (4) years’ experience developing and validating business cases, including identifying value of investment projects. Three (3) years’ experience managing operational or project budgets. Four (4) years’ experience delivering training programs. Four (4) years’ experience working with project management software. Four (4) years’ experience working with collaboration software (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams, etc.). Four (4) years’ experience working with database software (e.g., Access). Four (4) years’ experience working with data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, QI Macros, Tableau, etc.).
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
Responsible for providing design plans and supporting the development and execution of change management strategies during key program or organizational changes and transitions. Will be working in a variety of dynamic situations requiring expert level consulting, internal influence, conflict management, and resource/team management. Will be proactively conducting external research to identify and implement market leading practices, embracing a "can-do" strategic approach with sound business acumen. Advising and partnering with senior leaders while operating within a fast-paced environment. Promotes learning in others by communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward and builds collaborative, cross-functional relationships. Solicits and acts on performance feedback; provides actionable feedback to others, including upward feedback to leadership; influences, mentors, and coaches team members. Drives the execution of multiple work streams by identifying member and operational needs; translates business strategy into actionable business requirements; develops and updates new procedures and policies. Gains cross­ functional support for objectives and priorities and determines and carries out processes and methodologies. Solves highly complex issues; escalates and resolves issues as appropriate, sets standards and measures progress. Develops work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines; coordinates, obtains and distributes resources. Removes obstacles.
