Assistant Vice President of Development

The Assistant Vice President of Development will join the leadership team of the UM Foundation’s innovative and growing Development division. They will supervise frontline fundraisers, support team members to achieve ambitious and attainable fundraising goals, foster a positive team culture, strengthen operational efficiencies, and collaborate with UM Foundation colleagues and campus leaders.

Responsibilities:
Management and Supervision:
In partnership with the Vice President of Development and other leadership, manage and supervise assigned development staff Work with assigned staff members to develop, implement and evaluate strategies and fundraising plans designed to meet fundraising goals and objectives Work with assigned staff to assess program outcomes and opportunities for continual improvement Identify training opportunities for assigned staff and provide ongoing mentoring

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Seven years of experience in fundraising Record of securing major gifts, principal gifts and planned gifts Experience leading and motivating teams Excellent interpersonal relationship skills; an ability to work independently and in a multi-layered team environment while fostering positive relationships, teamwork, and collaborationIf you do not meet all the qualifications of the positions, you are still encouraged to apply.
