Purpose and Scope:
Performs general health, safety and environmentally focused support services, investigations, and analyses.

Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for cross-discipline application or may concentrate in one or more of the Estimating disciplines including Electrical, Architectural/Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Systems Control, Estimating cornerstone application analysis, etc.~Prepare or assist in the preparation of preliminary, definitive, change orders and check estimates using appropriate methods and techniques.~Prepare equipment and material take-off.~Utilize the appropriate company and industry historical data for costing estimates.~Prepare or assist in the preparation of project and discipline estimate summaries.~Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of full project estimates. Provides complete conceptual and final estimating input.~Participate in estimate reviews.~Establish and maintain cost databases and product line specific parametric analysis tools.~Develop cash flow schedules and estimates.~Prepare scope and bid package breakdowns for subcontract and vendor quotes.~Prepare subcontract bid analysis for scope, cost, and price.~Read and interpret drawings, specifications, Requests-for-Proposals and contracts.~

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Graduation from a two to four-year technical institute or college or equivalent formal technical training or military equivalent and 7 years of related experience as a Safety Trained Specialist. The incumbent must have an in-depth working knowledge of the technical concepts, principles, and requirements associated with the work unit. Possess good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills; and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. This position will require intermittent travel. Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a current State issued driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelors’ degree in an HSE-related field (i.e., Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental Safety and Health). Possess an Occupational Health and Safety Technician certification. Possess qualifications of an OSHA 501 trainer. Must be able to obtain/maintain a Tier 1 Public Trust Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to to obtain/maintain a Tier 1 Public Trust Clearance.



Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Although work is often sedentary, duties routinely involve activities in numerous areas within the terminal and flight line areas. This includes walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work is primarily conducted in an aircraft operations environment, including the terminal, tarmac, and facilities/structures in the proximity of the terminal. Noise from equipment operations is routine. Some duties are performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to remote company locations is required.
