The City of Beaver Falls is a "Small City with a Big Heart" located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The City of Beaver Falls is experiencing impactful growth as it continues to invest in its promising future.

The City of Beaver Falls is seeking a highly motivated Director of Community Development who will under the direction of city council and the city manager will engage the community; participate in community planning initiatives; promote development opportunities; and create, organize, plan and encourage community events. This position requires a team player who is motivated, can build strong partnerships and is prepared for opportunities for growth. Municipal experience and working with multiple stakeholders at once are preferred. A creative thinker with excellent visionary skills will thrive in this position.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Economic Development field, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience in Economic Development and Recreation would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of social media.
  • Able to attend council meetings, workshops, and community events as needed.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in writing grant applications would be considered an asset.

This role is a salaried position of $50,000.
