Project Overview

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.

RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in project orientation and training preparation for workforce development. You will create documents and videos used in craft training, take attendance, perform trade testing, and assist with dispatch of employees when training is completed. Your work will contribute to employee skill development and ensuring training compliance meets requirements. #LI-TH1

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participates in project orientation and training preparation 
  • Assists in the preparation of craft training as identified by construction, WFS or other project teams 
  • Creates documents, media, videos used in craft training 
  • Takes attendance and tracks which employees attend which trainings 
  • Assists with field release or dispatch of employees after training is completed 
  • Assists in the development of Craft Competency Compliance to Environmental Safety & Health (ES&H) core processes and Standard Work Processes and Procedures (SWPP’s) 
  • Assists in performing trade testing or competency verifications for manual workers in one or more areas of expertise 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in development, presentation, and assessment of ES&H education and training plans/packages on large construction projects required
  • Experience and qualification/certification regarding Train the Trainer preferred
  • Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised, manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills and use of related applications (including but not limited to Microsoft – Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
