Specialist, Fan Information, FIFA World Cup 2026

Fans travel from around the globe and may be unfamiliar with the stadiums and cities hosting the event. The Fan Information sub-project provides these visitors with all the information they need for an exceptional FIFA World Cup experience. This involves ensuring comprehensive information is accessible through the FIFA tournament app, FWC.com, FIFA.com, social media platforms, and on-site at the stadiums and host cities.
THE POSITION Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fan Information, the Fan Information Specialist will help serve Fan Operation’s efforts to deliver the FIFA World Cup 2026 that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues.
The main responsibilities of the Fan Information Specialist for the FIFA World Cup 2026 include:
• Project manage the Fan Information sub-project.
• Support the Senior Manager of Fan Information to align strategies and execute fan information initiatives.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of a Central Knowledge Bank to ensure all fan information is accurate and comprehensive.
• Regularly audit and update fan information resources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Work with various channel owners to provide, collect, and manage key operational content.
• Support the implementation and dissemination of fan information across multiple channels.
• Help facilitate the fan information strategy on-site during the tournament.
• Assist in coordinating the setup and operation of Fan Information Centers in Host Cities.
• Provide support with the customer contact strategy implementation and management.
YOUR PROFILE Education & Qualifications
• University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education).
• Team Player, capable of working autonomously and meeting tight deadlines.
• Solution oriented with a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Positive attitude, patience and persistence.
• Sound judgement and able to prioritize tasks.
• International, cross-cultural work experiences preferred.
Work Experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, information management, or a similar role.
• Experience managing content and information for large-scale events or projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in digital content management.
• Knowledge of international football (soccer) and FIFA World Cups.
• Knowledge of event planning and event project management processes.
Languages
• Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus.
Technology
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio & Project), planning software and online collaboration tools.
