Advantage Technical is seeking an R&D Engineer for our client in Maple Grove, MN Work for a world renowned Medial Device company on site, providing development support of new products.

Location: Maple Grove, MN 55311
Pay: $45-$60 per hour
Duration: Long term contract (approx. 1-year+)
Experience: Catheter, delivery system product development experience.
Solidworks/CAD; Test method development; communication, Previous Medical Device;

The person we are seeking will be developing new technology, products, materials, processes, and equipment for this Medical Device company you will also be analyzing operational, test, and research data to establish technical specifications for designing or modifying products, processes, and materials.
Key Responsibilities 1. Consistently generates innovative and unique solutions to market needs and submits idea disclosures. Work is expected to result in the development of new or refined products, processes or equipment. 2. Successfully completes complex engineering work in one or more of the following: technology development, product design and development, test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigation (animal and clinical studies), and report preparation. 3. Selects techniques to solve complex problems and make sound design recommendations. 4. Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from complex test results. 5. Designs and prepares complex reports to communicate results to technical community. 6. Designs and coordinates complex engineering tests and experiments. 7. Coordinates, manages, and documents project goals and progress and recommends appropriate revisions. 8. Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products or equipment. 9. Interfaces with Physicians/Cath Lab personnel to obtain feedback on concepts and performance of new devices. 10. Translates customer needs into product requirements and design specifications. 11. Responsible for engineering documentation 12. Works cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing on complex projects to ensure project success. 13. Demonstrates PDP/TPD system knowledge through delivery of high quality and high impact deliverables.

Qualifications 5 - 8 Years with BS, 3 - 6 Years with MS, 0 - 3 Years with PhD
Catheter, delivery system product development experience would be ideal but not required Solidworks/CAD; Test method development; communication Previous Medical Device
