JOB SUMMARY: This position is in Region 4, Water Division, Grants Infrastructure Branch, Community Infrastructure Section. About Region 4. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. EPA offers work-from-home and work schedule flexibilities as described in the Benefits section. MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Serve as technical expert providing oversight, advice and assistance to government and communities within EPA's authorities Review and analyze engineering plans and proposals to ensure that federal funds are being allocated effectively. Coordinate with governmental agencies and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to develop projects that address water infrastructure needs that lead to effective infrastructure solutions. Serve as a project officer on grants, cooperative agreements, or inter-agency agreements, reviewing project scope and associated obligations and expenditures to ensure appropriateness. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
