Job Description
Sworn officer, firearms qualified. Establishes and maintains a safe atmosphere for faculty, staff, students and visitors at an institution by providing police and security services.
Location MU - Marshall University
Salary Range $41,800- Salary is commensurate with experience and internal equity
Salary Grade 5
Qualifications
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
Required Qualifications
Education
Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience; must meet established standards required for acceptance at the WV state Basic Law Enforcement Academy.
Experience
The applicant must successfully complete a physical assessment, interview panel, background check and pass a medical examination. Must possess or be able to obtain by date of hire a valid WV driver’s license and be a resident of the state of West Virginia. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and deal tactfully with members of the university and surrounding community.
