This position is being filled under Direct Hire Authority (DHA) in accordance with Section 1109 of FY 2020 NDAA; P.L. 116-92 and Section 9905 of Title 5, U.S.C.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:
Serve as the Deputy Program Director supporting the Assault Breaker II (ABII) program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Mission Capabilities (OASD(MC)).
Lead and guide a team in implementing the ABII program for the Department of Defense, focusing on research, analysis, and strategic execution both within and outside the office.
Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), overseeing contractor performance, ensuring documentation and communication with both the Contracting Officer (CO) and the contractor are maintained.
Develop and articulate a strategic vision and plan for integrating these technologies into the program. Engage with potential user communities, industry leaders, and academic institutions to identify and leverage emerging technology and capabilities.
Design, plan, and oversee program activities, ensuring successful transition of technologies and concepts to military applications.
