Our client is currently seeking a Sales Representative for the DC Metro/DMV area for a food manufacturing company.

Territory: DC METRO/ DMV Area

This job will have the following responsibilities:Successful execution of the company objectives for assigned accounts.Responsible for generating, developing, and expanding sales for hotels, restaurants, convention centers, nursing home facilities by cultivating relationships and providing solutions to customers.Work closely with the sales manager to develop effective sales strategies.Professionally execute product presentations based on company quality standards.Address customers' inquiries about products, prices, availability, uses, and credit terms.Recommend products to customers based on their needs and interests.Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders.Participate in trade shows, product development meetings, and stay informed about all company product offerings.Monitor and analyze competition, conduct regular market research to stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions.Report relevant information to management.Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Associate degree in business administration or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in foodservice sales.Strong customer focus, highly organized, and effective time management skills.Demonstrated strong negotiating skills.Experienced in successfully developing and executing tactical sales plans, including quotas and account objectives.Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office and MS Outlook; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Prior experience in food service sales required, with a culinary background considered a plus.
