Aloft Cupertino is currently looking for a for a part-time Food Prep (Saturdays and Sundays) to join our team. As a Food Prep, you’ll be responsible for preparing food using recipes and menu items and plating dishes according to our standard recipes.

Some of their key duties and responsibilities include:

Setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations Plating prepared foods based on guidance Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts Ensure the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations ServSafe certified preferred

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary exp. preferred 1-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail Prior experience as cook required
