This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Mondays & Tuesdays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Wednesdays & Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Fridays). Our office is located at 299 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ, 7663.
We offer 2 - 3 days of paid on-the-job training in the office. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe dictations provided by healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants)
- Maintain adherence to transcription quality assurance standards (e.g., QA metrics, productivity metrics, daily reviews of post - QA reports)
- Provide post - QA documents (e.g., difference documents) to transcriptionists and / or QA analysts, as appropriate
- Demonstrate appropriate grammar, punctuation and style standards when transcribing / editing provider dictations
Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pharmacology - Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology for appropriate medical specialties
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical / surgical procedures and equipment for appropriate medical specialties
- Demonstrate knowledge of medications / dosages for appropriate medical specialties
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 6+ months of medical transcription experience
- Understanding of medical terminology from education OR previous on-the-job training
- Ability to work any shift between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Mondays & Tuesdays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Wednesdays & Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Fridays) from Monday - Friday
- Work experience as a medical scribe in a fast - paced clinical environment
- Ability to type at the speed of 60+ WPM (words per minute)
- Experience with Epic EMR
