As a Product Manager for Health Safe ID (HSID), you will support the development and management of this critical security product. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our diverse clientele. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, market research, and agile product development to drive the success of HSID.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Assist in defining and refining the product vision for HSID that aligns with company goals and customer needs
  • Contribute to the product strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and business objectives

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Use insights from market research to inform product direction and help differentiate HSID from competitors

Product Development & Execution

  • Product Lifecycle Management
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including ideation, requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demand, and business value

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and timely product delivery
  • Facilitate communication between teams to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment on product goals

Agile Product Development

  • Implement Agile methodologies to manage the product development process, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to changing requirements
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap and strategic goals

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with Stakeholders
  • Serve as a point of contact for HSID-related inquiries, providing clear communication to stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and leadership

Communicate Product Progress

  • Prepare and deliver regular product updates, including roadmap presentations, status reports, and performance metrics
  • Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback into the product development process to ensure alignment with business needs

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor Product Performance
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of HSID, identifying areas for improvement
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product enhancements

Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation, learning, and iteration
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to keep HSID competitive

Customer Focus

  • Understand Customer Needs
  • Conduct user research and gather customer feedback to understand user needs and preferences
  • Translate customer insights into actionable product requirements and features

Enhance User Experience

  • Champion a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring HSID delivers a seamless and secure login experience
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces

Risk Management

  • Identify & Mitigate Risks
  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to product development and deployment
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful product delivery

Ensure Compliance & Security

  • Ensure HSID complies with relevant regulations and best practices for digital identity and access management
  • Work with security and compliance teams to address vulnerabilities and ensure data protection

Required Qualifications:

  • High School/GED
  • 2+ years of experience in product, with a focus on identity, security, mobile, and web-based domains
  • Proven deep understanding and interest in security and identity mapping for secure identity integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to build and nurture high-performing teams that fosters a collaborative environment
  • Proven experience in managing products through their entire lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond
  • Proven solid customer empathy and experience in conducting user research and usability testing
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product strategy
  • Demonstrated skilled in developing and maintaining a product roadmap
  • Proven understanding of software development lifecycle, ability to work closely with engineering teams
  • Proven proficiency in data analysis and metrics-driven decision-making
  • Proven experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Aha, or similar

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Information Security / MBA
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance search functionalities, identity, eligibility, and security
  • Proven experience in driving innovation and staying ahead of industry trends to continuously improve user experience and platform capabilities
  • Demonstrated examples of effective Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, including product teams, engineers, and business leaders
  • Proven interest in analytical and problem-solving, with a knack for overcoming technical and business challenges
  • Demonstrated ability articulate the why behind driving outcomes over outputs, ensuring that initiatives deliver tangible value to the organization

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
