The Headlines:

In the role of the Manufacturing Engineer Tech at the Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado, you will keep the plant controls systems operating at their utmost efficiency by providing SME level technical support and design input.
 

This role supports both legacy controls systems as well as the application of new technology in the manufacturing environment.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support for critical manufacturing systems, including data historians (OSI Pi and Pi Asset Framework), Delta V control systems, ProLeiT BrewMaxx control systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, Allen Bradley HMIs (multiple generations), various VFD manufacturers, and Sidel EIT
  • Support and troubleshoot control and communication networks, including Profibus, DeltaV fieldbus, Modbus (Serial, Ethernet), OPC (DA, UA), AS-I bus, IOLink, Allen Bradley (DH+, C-net, D-net, E/IP)
  • Minimize production downtime using effective and efficient multi-craft, troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Identify, scope, and support control system upgrade projects
  • Develop and sustain a control system Asset Registry
  • Work with different process owners and technicians to develop Controls Standards and best practices
  • Understand and apply both industry standards and Molson Coors standards (e.g. NFPA70e, ISA 101.01, ISA 18.2)
  • Execute all work with safety as the highest priority.

 

 The Other Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification: Post High School – Post Secondary Education in Electrical/Controls/Computer Science
  • Related Work Experience: 7 to 10 years – A minimum of 5 years as an Electrical/Controls Technician
  • Must possess an understanding of modern technologies including electrical components, communication systems, and control systems.
  • Must possess an understanding of maintenance strategies for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Proven history to quickly learn and maintain control technologies, such as: Data Historians (GE Proficy or OSI PI), PLC Systems, DCS Systems, SCADA Systems, Database programming & management (i.e., SQL).
