Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Parkson Corporation. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing technical activities in the development and customization of water/wastewater treatment systems. You will work closely with internal groups such as Sales, Application Engineering, Production, and Project Management to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects to ensure timely completion and quality delivery.
- Design and Development: Analyze and interpret customer-supplied information to design new equipment/systems or modify existing equipment/systems to meet customer requirements.
- Specification Development: Develop specifications for project equipment and ensure that specifications meet quoted requirements.
- Drawings and Models: Prepare or lead the development of drawings and models based on sketches using standard techniques and computer-assisted design/drafting equipment.
- Supply Chain and Production: Support the realization of designs through supply chain, production, and field installation and testing.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Customer Communication: Meet with client representatives to establish their requirements for new or existing equipment or systems.
- Travel and Inspections: Travel to suppliers, fabricators, or other locations to perform process inspections, conduct factory testing, or review fabrication issues/improvement opportunities.
- Calculations and Specifications: Prepare and review calculations in support of structural, mechanical, and process requirements.
- CAD and Engineering Software: Work on CAD and other engineering software to create drawings, calculations, and specifications in line with customer needs.
- Manufacturing Issue Resolution: Assist with manufacturing issue resolution and collaborate with shop personnel on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 2+ years of practical experience in mechanical design, preferably with 3D modeling software and CAD drafting experience.
- Skills: Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor or similar 3D modeling package, proficiency in standard business software, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, and working knowledge of ERP & PLM systems.
- Licenses and Certifications: EIT/PE preferred.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 20%.
