Schedule: Monday thru Friday Day Shift

Education: Must have High School Diploma or G.E.D. (No Exceptions)

Background: Must be able to pass a Background Check & Drug Test (No Exceptions)

SUMMARY

- Scheduled work from work orders
- Unscheduled work from the plant
- Courier runs.
- Vehicle availability / dependability
- Plant housekeeping
- Seasonal site maintenance

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Empty outside trash cans
- Empty plant recycle bins (plastic bottles, metal cans)
- Empty used cooking oil from kitchen
- Restock copier paper
- Dump scrap lab spray panels
- Move crushed can bails from resin dock to pallet pad
- Pick up trash from fence lines
- Maintain tools / equipment / tractors / vehicles
- Re-painting the walkways throughout the plant
- Re-painting the fire extinguisher locations throughout the plant
- Erecting / taking down the snow fence that protects the main gate
- Assisting with Christmas tasks
- Constructing tank entry tents
- Moving furniture / other items
- Repair / replace bathroom towel / toilet paper dispensers.
- Minor carpentry / mechanical work
- Painting dock door lines / “reserved” parking lot spaces / pedestrian crosswalk.
- Installing / replacing signs
- Replacing ceiling tiles
- Repair damaged lockers
- Cleaning PMHE mirrors
- Assisting HR with set up / take down of special events (ie. cook-outs, holiday events, etc.)
- Ensures that plant vehicles are fueled and properly maintained.
- Ensures the vehicles inspection status, registration and oil changes are up to date.
- Monitors the level of the 300-gallon diesel fuel tank. (Orders fuel when needed)
- Assists housekeepers when needed.
- Assist other contractors when needed.
- Mowing
- Weed eating
- Snow Removal
- Park cars
- Spread gravel on parking lot and plant roads.
- Keep sidewalks and plant pedestrian entrances clear.
- Cleaning / Sweeping parking lots.
- Filling / Repairing Potholes in Drop Lots

QUALIFICATIONS

- Education and/or Experience:
- Have a valid drivers license.
- Must work outside in all types of weather
- Ability to learn how to drive tractors, zero turn mowers, weed eaters, etc.
- Able to drive to other areas, Norfolk VA, DC Metro area, Winchester,
- Ability to use battery and hand tools.
- Perform light carpentry tasks.
- Satisfactory background screening.
- Satisfactory drug screen.
- Satisfactory results in pre-employment tests.
- Must be able to work in the United States legally.
- Knowledge of basic computer functions
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to be licensed to operate PMHE.
- Ability to work in a safe manner.

Physical Demands:

- Ability to lift up to 75 Lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work at heights at or above 30 feet.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hand(s) and arm(s), stoop, use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel; The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to perform by repetition. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing this job; the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, exposure to hot, cold, and/or humid conditions, as a result of weather outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
