Our client is growing its portfolio of underground carbon storage space within the US and is currently looking for an experienced CCUS Land Manager. This is a full-time staff position, based out of their Dallas office.

Primary job responsibilities will include:
Manage relationships with third-party land administration vendors to ensure lease records and contractual obligations are accurately captured for reminders of obligations and timely payments. Data entry and review of Contracts and Leases in Land third-party vendor database. Review and analyze carbon capture agreements and land title information to establish, calculate, or change ownership interests, cure title for drilling operations, and establish, maintain, and update Company ownership in internal data systems. Support Accounting and Legal teams to maintain records of revenue and partnership billing for updated ownership records. Interface with G&G and engineers in the development of potential acquisitions and existing fields to help achieve objectives. Assist with ongoing business development in assigned areas. Prepare budget and review leases, option payments, and amendments to CCUS leases. Negotiate, draft, and close acquisition agreements. Support in-house processes of organizing and analyzing title documents, performing internal title transactions, and performing title due diligence on merger and acquisition opportunities. Build strong relationships with contacts outside the company to obtain information and access to available opportunities
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of in-house onshore Landman experience, preferably in the Gulf Coast region. A bachelor's degree in business, preferably in Petroleum Land Management or a related field is required. JD or MBA graduate degrees are strongly preferred, but not required. Experience engaging in due diligence for onshore leasing plays, and asset acquisitions Working knowledge and ability to apply State of Texas and Louisiana local rules, regulations, and statutes applicable to the onshore Land industry. Experience interacting with the Texas General Land Office, Texas Railroad Commission, and Louisiana Department of Natural Resources is a plus. Skilled and determined title researcher, an able negotiator, and proficient in understanding and interpreting title abstracts.
