    Job Description

    The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation for automation equipment and processes.
Assist in the procurement and installation of equipment and perform any other assigned duties.Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams, facilitating recommendations and design changes as needed.Design fixtures and tooling, evaluate processes for increased throughput, and troubleshoot product and process issues.Perform special assignments inside or outside the department when requested.Identify and resolve problems, implementing improvements.Evaluate manufacturing processes and workflows to find opportunities for improvement.Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems.Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment meet capability and capacity requirements.Research and develop new processes, equipment, and products (NPI).Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment comply with safety standards.Participate in cross-functional meetings to promote collaboration.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have what follows:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.At least 2 years of hands-on experience in designing and supporting automated systems.At least 2 years of practical experience in a production or assembly environment.Excellent computer skills, especially in programming and software development, as the role heavily involves computer use.Strong equipment troubleshooting skills for debugging and resolving issues in existing systems.Effective communication skills for explaining complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels and within multidisciplinary teams, as well as strong written communication skills for record-keeping and documentation.Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking for troubleshooting issues and finding effective solutions.Flexibility and adaptability to stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies.Knowledge and experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.Desired knowledge in Project Management, Risk Assessment, and Design of Experiments.
