Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

A Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Advanced Practice Nurse primary care provider is sought for the VA clinic in Maplewood, MN. The clinic is affiliated with the Minneapolis VA Health Care System and is open Monday through Friday and closed on all federal holidays. There are no weekend duties and no call. Take time with your patients. Visits for established patients are 30 minutes and for new patients 60 minutes. Our facilities include an updated fully-equipped medical clinic with a full lab, telemedicine capabilities, and on-site general radiology imaging. Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Maplewood and the surrounding rural area. Be a part of this dynamic and rapidly growing clinic in a great location. Clinic staffing includes excellent nursing and support staff with integrated mental health providers working in the clinic with you. Must have a valid medical license anywhere in the US. VA physicians enjoy an excellent benefits package, paid malpractice insurance, and a state-of-the-art electronic medical record. Compensation is highly competitive and a recruitment bonus and loan forgiveness program may be available.
Duties Include:
perform a history and physical exam
form a differential diagnosis; order appropriate lab work, diagnostic tests, and consultations; develop treatment plans; and provide appropriate follow-up care.
triage or referral of patients with non- medicine complaints, diseases, and injuries to appropriate disciplines for diagnosis and treatment;
suture minor lacerations;
remove traumatic superficial foreign bodies and perform incision and drainage (I&D);
treat skin lesions with liquid nitrogen;
perform skin biopsies; irrigate ear canals; remove foreign bodies from eyes and instill fluorescein to conjunctiva; apply splints and reduce
small joint dislocations (e.g. fingers); and aspirate and/or inject knees and bursa (e.g., trochanteric)
