Summer Camp Art Teacher

Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our team for the summer camp program catering to young children. The Art Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging art activities that foster creativity and imagination in our campers. This role involves leading daily art classes, providing guidance and support to children ages [specify age range], and creating a fun and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare age-appropriate art lessons and projects, including crafting, drawing, painting, and other creative activities.
  • Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations to teach fundamental art techniques and skills.
  • Encourage exploration and experimentation with different art mediums and materials.
  • Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere where children feel comfortable expressing themselves artistically.
  • Supervise and assist children during art activities, offering guidance and encouragement as needed.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers while participating in art classes.
  • Collaborate with other camp staff to integrate art activities into the overall camp program and theme.
  • Maintain a clean and organized art area, including inventory management and setup/cleanup of materials.
