As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust API integration solutions that enable seamless communication and data exchange between various systems and platforms within our telecom infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system engineers, and business stakeholders, to architect scalable and efficient API solutions that support our business objectives and enhance our service offerings.
Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with development teams to implement API integration solutions, leveraging industry-standard technologies and frameworks to achieve seamless connectivity and data exchange between disparate systems and applications.
  • Develop comprehensive architectural designs and strategies for API integrations, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
  • Define and enforce API governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and interoperability across the organization's API ecosystem.
  • Ensure that API integrations adhere to industry security standards and compliance requirements, implementing robust authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in API integration and telecom, evaluating new tools and frameworks to enhance the organization's API capabilities and maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Enterprise Architect or similar role, with a focus on API integration within a telecom environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of API design principles, standards, and protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, GraphQL), specifically telecom-specific APIs (e.g., TM Forum Open API, MEF LSO).
  • Proficiency in programming languages and technologies commonly used for API development, such as Java, Python, Node.js, etc.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with cloud-based API management solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
