Gastroenterologist/Advanced Endoscopist Opportunity â Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City)

Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterologist/Advanced Endoscopist in Danbury, Connecticut, located about one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and adjacent to Westchester County in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long established, busy, and growing employed practice, with 17 physicians and 11 advanced practitioners. Responsibilities include both outpatient practice and inpatient coverage. There is also opportunity for a faculty appointment. Generous sign on bonus and relocation allowance offered.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible gastroenterologist with 4th year Advanced Endoscopy training/experience looking to join a highly collegial team. New or recent graduates are welcome to apply, including 2024 and 2025 graduates. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1,000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and many venues for 4-season outdoor and indoor recreational activities. There are highly rated public and private schools and universities in our area. Boston, New York City, New Haven, and Hartford are easily accessible via car or train.
