The Principal Computational Scientist at Nutrien is a pivotal leader in driving the advancement of computational science within the agricultural sector. This role demands an elevated level of expertise and leadership in developing and deploying innovative analytical solutions that influence company-wide strategies and operational efficiencies. 

 

What you will do
 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and direction of complex project analyses, ensuring the development and documentation of high-quality, engineering-compatible code. 

  • Influence and drive projects that extend across functional areas and impact the company on a wide scale. 

  • Drive stakeholder engagement, leveraging deep industry knowledge to align computational science initiatives with business objectives. 

  • Provide expert guidance and leadership to teams of computational scientists, setting high computational standards and expectations. 

  • Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the computational science team and across collaborative functional teams. 

 

What you will bring
 

  • Master's degree in an Agronomic Science related field, such as Atmospheric Science, Soil Science, Meteorology, etc. Or experience in lieu of education.

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience. 

  • Advanced knowledge in computational techniques and strategic implementation in agricultural projects. 

  • Advanced, specialized skillset in computational applications in agriculture preferred.
