Great American's Bond Division has been underwriting surety and fidelity bonds for over 90 years. We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Bond Division This position will operate on a hybrid schedule and will sit in our Cincinnati office.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Prepares financial and business related analyses and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. May be assigned analysis in support of organization's or subsidiary's/business unit's annual budget process, expense/service fee/staffing forecasts, or statistical reporting. Assists in other financial research projects and analyses of operational results. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments. Assists in the preparation of findings to be presented to senior management. Assists in the development of business policies. Conducts special financial and business-related studies and cooperates with other departments in preparation of analyses. Highly involved with Bond Division reporting. Assists and will take the lead on the handling and documentation of Bond Division collateral. Assists in the day-to-day operations of the division as needed. Will be a key asset in assisting the field with system use. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Field of Study: Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline. Experience: Generally, 2 to 4 years of related experience. Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred. Experience with SQL, Cognos, or Workday preferred. Experience with accounting, financial, or IT related systems preferred.
