Sr Principal ORAN Architect What youll be doing... The Sr Principal ORAN Architect HQ Planning will be responsible for leading the Open RAN technical discussions in the ACCoRD program (Biden-Harris Administration Awards $42M For Wireless Innovation | National Telecommunications and Information Administration (ntia.gov) to ensure that programs open fronthaul goals are met. You will be responsible for defining baseline open fronthaul requirements, KPIs, test case creation, test results analysis, and approval. You will also use your extensive knowledge to identify gaps and define new requirements, solutions that improve network performance simplify network management and network deployments. Working in a fast-paced environment that is focused on rapidly identifying, evaluating and deploying new technologies for Verizon Interacting with Technical teams, Network Planners, Security Risk Management, and Security Operations teams to fully understand the needs of the project, timelines, and operational environments in scope Collaborating with vendors and the broader ORAN community developments and ensure their future capabilities align with Verizons needs Monitoring the project tracker for new project assignments and updates Reaching out to project teams for engagement in projects Providing process feedback to project teams who are looking for requirements or design work Engaging internally with Verizon employees for project feedback and sharing relevant results and trends that could impact Verizons internal O-RAN activity. Tracking your work in our tracking system and keep project artifacts and notes updated Authoring requirements document to represent gaps, solutions, enhancements in fronthaul through collaboration with subject matter experts Reviewing requirements with the project team and answering any questions related to them Communicating progress, requirements, and any issues to ensure successful handoff of deliverables to program and op

Skill Required: • 3+ years of Experience with education in B.Tech/B.E or M.Tech/M.E(ECE) or any other relevant degree. • Strong programming experience in C/C++ in embedded domain. • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. • Experience with common embedded protocols/interfaces like • I2C, SPI, USART, buses, bridge chips, FPGAs, hardware queues/FIFOs, interrupts, DMA, • Experience in multi core, multi thread, IPC, system programming, GDB, kernel/user space interfaces in Linux OS Ability to work up and down the embedded stack: boot loader, device drivers, kernel, user space. • Experience in using source control, bug tracking and other relevant tools. Well versed with software development process. Good to have • ability to read schematics, understand device datasheets • use lab tools like - JTAG, oscilloscopes, power sources, multi-meters, etc • experience in SDK/tool chain setup, make files, scripting
