We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and management of data architecture solutions across multiple environments, including data warehouses, operational data stores (ODS), data replication/ETL, and other data management initiatives. As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for developing strategic data architecture plans, overseeing their implementation, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data architecture, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of data management principles and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of comprehensive data architecture solutions to support business needs and objectives across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data architecture designs.
- Define data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all data-related initiatives.
- Manage and optimize data models, schemas, and structures for data warehouses, ODS, and other data repositories.
- Oversee the implementation of data replication, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and data integration processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
- Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and platforms to support data architecture goals and objectives.
- Lead data governance and data quality initiatives to ensure data integrity, compliance, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, database administrators, and business analysts, to deliver integrated data solutions.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture, analytics, and data management to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical leadership to junior members of the data architecture team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management.
- Proven experience designing and managing data architecture solutions for data warehouses, ODS, and data replication/ETL initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, data normalization/denormalization, and dimensional modeling concepts.
- Proficiency in data integration tools and technologies, such as ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and data replication technologies.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and lead cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
