As a Painter, you will prepare surfaces for the application of paint products and apply paint to aircraft and components.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Work from drawings, sketches, pictures, or verbal specifications to prepare for and paint aircraft, aircraft parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Strip paint from aircraft, aircraft parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, steaming, cleaning, and conversion coating.
  • Cover all areas for the protection from paint or stripper with proper materials.
  • Set up and operate all shop equipment and tooling.
  • Set up and use spray gun for proper application of paint.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and Company safety procedures.
  • Accurately log all labor data into computer system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Complete assigned jobs within set time limits.
