Community Medical and Dental Care Inc. is a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike, dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare services to our community's underserved populations. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team and play a vital role in ensuring the organization's operational excellence and strategic growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategic Planning:
    • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all non-clinical operations of the FQHC.
    • Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and implement the organization's strategic plan.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Financial Management:
    • Work closely with the CFO to monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.
    • Oversee billing, coding, and collections processes to maximize revenue.
  • Clinical Operations Integration:
    • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and clinical leadership to ensure seamless integration of clinical and administrative operations.
    • Optimize patient flow and service delivery to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
    • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations for FQHCs.
  • Human Resources:
    • Provide leadership and oversight for all human resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
    • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
  • Facility Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
    • Ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
    • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of facilities and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role within a healthcare organization, preferably an FQHC setting.
  • Proven track record of success in operational leadership, strategic planning, and management.
  • Strong understanding of FQHC operations, funding models, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Collaborative and results-oriented leadership style.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems (preferred).
