Position: System Administrator (O365 & VMware)

Location: Redmond, WA/Santa Clara, CA(Hybrid)

Contract

Role Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Sr. Mgr. Information Technology, the System Administrator is responsible for administration and management of VMWare environments (on premise, small size), and O365 applications/services such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune supporting client's users in Redmond, WA and Santa Clara, CA offices. This individual is a single point of contact for all VMware and O365 related issues and is responsible for identifying, tracking, and resolving technical issues. As a liaison with multiple technical teams, this role is critical in providing accurate technical and functional feedback and soliciting input from the end user community to ensure continuous improvements.

Qualifications (Skills & Experiences & Education)

Years of Relevant Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supporting/administering VMware, Windows, Linux, O365

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing small to mid-size VMware environments

Education

Required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Specialized Skills:

Required
  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and administration
  • Experience in O365 Administration
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts, such as VLANs, routing, and firewalls
  • Experience in applying and maintaining security best practices in hybrid environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Keeping technical documentation up-to-date and knowledge sharing
