The Division III Coordinator will provide a wide range of administrative, operational and coordination of programs for the Division III governance team.  The position provides operational recommendations to the Division III governance staff, membership, committees and working groups. This position oversees and manages the Division III diversity grants and supporting committees, provides internal and external communications, and oversees all meeting administration and coordination for the Division III access and opportunity programs, initiatives, and resources.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to the Division III membership and colleagues, serve as the point of contact for Division III diversity grants and programs.
  • Collaborate with Division III governance team and serve as the primary liaison to all Division III membership-facing diversity, equity and inclusion committees/subcommittees, programs, initiatives, and resources.
  • Oversee management, coordination, and execution of the Division III Student Immersion Program and the Institute for Administrative Advancement.
    • Manage in-person program logistics (including entering meeting requests into the travel portal, reviewing banquet event orders (BEOs), creating program agendas, creating/updating program materials, securing program speakers, distributing program materials, budget management and on-site supervision).
  • Coordinate and manage the divisionâs three diversity grants (i.e., Ethnic Minority and Womenâs Internship Program, Strategic Alliance Matching Grant, and Coaching Enhancement Grant). Annually responsible for marketing, grant administration, including oversight of selections, grant funding distributions, evaluations, and budget management.
    • Coordination of the annual Ethnic Minority and Womenâs Internship Orientation.
    • Manage diversity grant requisitions to execute contracts for recipients.
    • Manage and execute an evaluation system for diversity grant recipients and awardees.
  • Serve as primary liaison to the divisionâs diversity committees/subcommittees and program selection committees. Draft agendas, oversee videoconferences, draft reports, and provide updates to governance committees, as needed.
  • Draft, process, and send general correspondence to the membership.
  • Attend governance meetings and serve on NCAA-wide committees and task forces, as needed.
  • Perform additional functions as assigned by the director.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelorâs degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of related work and/or membership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of NCAA structure, programs, and purpose.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Willingness to assess processes and systems and explore continuous improvements to improve efficiency.
  • Estimated Travel Required
