As a Government Information Specialist (Privacy), you will:
Respond to data calls relating to FISMA, Section 803 of Implementing the Recommendation of the 9-11 Commission Act of 2007, Social Security documentation reduction, and other reporting requirements.
Develop Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs); evaluate privacy risks through the PIA process and subsequently make recommendations to stakeholders so that they can adequately address internal control weaknesses.
Ensure that FinCEN has appropriate System of Record Notices (SORNs); develop new SORNs as needed.
Advise FinCEN program managers and executives on the formulation of an overall strategy for ensuring that data and records are collected, transmitted, maintained, and utilized only for authorized purposes, with due consideration of the privacy interests of those persons that are subjects of such data.
