Job Description:

This position is part of the AML Platform Management team which develops and leads high risk processes, overseeing enterprise sustainability, and driving compliance and operational excellence relating to this area. The Product Owner Manager identifies the user need and the larger business objectives (the "What") that a product or feature will fulfill, then articulates what success looks like for the product or feature. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs to ensure there is alignment. The Product Owner Manager defines business requirements at the epic level and will partner with the Business Analyst to define user stories and acceptance criteria. They are experienced in the role of a Product Owner Manager, expert of the product , and have a deep understanding of the business, data, or technology domain.

Responsibilities:
  • Data ownership - orchestration of the creation, maintenance, and evolution of data-driven products, bridging the gap between business needs and technological capabilities
  • Product ownership - end to end management of requirements, from the initial requirement gathering all the way to system implementation
  • Identifies risk/dependencies and quantifies the impact it has on the business/technology and what controls are to be used to resolve
  • Develops frameworks for solving a range of complex problems. Can foresee future problems and define resolutions/new opportunities
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and understand/manage expectations
  • Document business requirements and transition to technology team
  • Facilitate review of business requirements / system design with stakeholders for approval and signoff
  • Manage JIRA epics and stories (participates in grooming & refinement sessions)
  • Support technology partners throughout requirement development
  • Lead and present showcase sessions to business partners
  • Supports User Adoption Team in providing requirement walkthrough of new/changed functionality to stakeholders
  • Review incoming change controls. Support intake process.


Requirements:
  • Experience with transformation initiatives and/or change
  • Demonstrated ability and interest in data engineering
  • Demonstrated ability and interest in product design and process re-engineering
  • Has strong working knowledge of products, services, business flows and understanding AML context in which technology and operating principles are used within their business area
  • Has knowledge of software development but has not been involved in hands on application development/coding
  • Understanding of Financial Services sector and products & exposure to Anti-Money Laundering processes in financial industry
  • Must be well-organized, problem solver, possess the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities with sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
