POSITION SUMMARY:
The Administrative Supervisor (Admin Supervisor) works in collaboration with the Practice Leadership to provide leadership and guidance to the Medical Office Assistant (MOA) staff to ensure the provision of safe, quality care in an efficient and productive manner. The Admin Supervisor will have demonstrated proficiency in the skill sets required to perform the duties of the MOA role. The Admin Supervisor:
• Participates in the interviewing, hiring and orientation of new MOA staff, including the training, competency assessments, and performance evaluation processes
• As an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Health Care team, supports the practice leadership in the day to day management of practice site operations
• Provides objective feedback to MOA staff regarding performance expectations and follows up to ensure compliance. Communicates actions in a timely manner to practice leadership
• Leads service excellence initiatives in support of internal and external customers and coordinates staff involvement in community events
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Practice Administrator or Practice Manager
COMPETENCIES:
Education: Completion of High School. Some college or continuing education courses preferred.
Knowledge: Expertise in standard personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet software, EMR and computer based patient information systems, and master scheduling system. Working knowledge of electronic timekeeping system and supply system required. Working knowledge of medical terminology and insurance required. Working knowledge of employee interview and hiring processes. Working knowledge of the performance evaluation and disciplinary processes. Working knowledge of patient specialty referral system. Working knowledge of Employee Engagement and Patient Safety Network. Working knowledge of Value Based Purchasing and Meaningful Use criteria. Working knowledge of daily reconciliation and bank deposit processes. Ability to learn and apply principles of employee interviewing and hiring processes and perform evaluation and disciplinary processes.
Skills: Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal). Demonstrated effective organizational and time management skills necessary to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated
coaching, teaching and performance review process skills. Ability to use computer software
including electronic health records, word processing, spreadsheet program, timekeeping and
supply procurement systems. Demonstrated commitment to service excellence for internal and
external customers.


Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.: Successful completion of JHCP Administrative Supervisor
Epic classes, Assessment and Simulation. If bilingual, must successfully pass the required JHM
approved designated language assessment prior to receiving employment. Successful
candidates must complete all required training within 30 days of hire.
Work Experience: A minimum of five years of work experience in a similar service-oriented
industry required. Supervisory experience preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum $22.64 per hour - Maximum $39.62 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
