IFC's Treasury Client Solutions Department is a client-facing transaction-structuring and execution team that provides IFC's clients with innovative fixed-income solutions. The group has global responsibility for derivative transactions, structured products, local currency solutions, debt capital markets solutions and the asset liability management of IFC's market-funded balance sheet.

The department is looking to appoint an experienced finance professional to join Treasury Client Solutions focusing on the asset liability management of IFC's market-funded balance sheet. The position is currently based in Washington D.C.

Duties and Accountabilities:
• Monitor, analyze and reconcile currency, interest rate and other market exposures on IFC's market-funded portfolio on a daily basis;
• Design, recommend hedging strategies to ensure daily compliance with limits and remediation within prescribed timeline;
• Design and implement new processes to ensure the market risks of new products are accurately measured, reported and managed;
• Streamline and improve the current ALM processes;
• Execution of interest rate and foreign exchange derivatives to hedge market risk;
• Work closely with colleagues within Treasury to deliver required analytical and ALM-related output in an accurate and efficient manner;
• Contribute to the drafting of policy documentation related to the Asset Liability Management function;
• Develop solutions for various reporting and data analytics needs (e.g. measuring cross-border risk) related to the functions performed by Treasury Client Solutions Department;
• Provide mentorship, advice and training to help others learn and deliver;
• Represent the department in relevant internal and external working groups and conferences at senior level; and
• Ensure integration of ALM reporting with any ongoing system enhancements;

Selection Criteria

• MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Financial Mathematics, Statistics or related area;
• At least 8-12 years of relevant work experience in fixed income with a focus on emerging markets;
• Deep theoretical and practical understanding of fixed income, foreign exchange, market risk, derivatives and asset liability management;
• Ability to design and execute hedging strategies related to interest rate, foreign exchange and other market risks;
• Proven ability to co-lead technical teams;
• Highly motivated, results-oriented team player with an enthusiasm to work on complex products, a "can do" attitude and ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries;
• Proven ability to foster open discussions across boundaries, encouraging a learning culture and provide a safe environment for the exchange of ideas;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong ability to describe complex concepts, approaches, and lessons learned in a manner that is relevant and understandable for clients and stakeholders;
• Strong quantitative skills including data analytics skills, experience in handling/querying large data sets and solid understanding of financial/business databases is a plus;
• Knowledge of treasury-related information systems and/or local currency operations is a plus;
• Experience in programming and analyzing financial data, and advanced knowledge of Excel, Bloomberg or Reuters is a plus
