The DoubleTree Fort Lauderdale Galleriais looking for a passionate Barista to join their Food and Beverage team.

The DoubleTree Fort Lauderdale Galleria is located on the intracoastal waterway, less than a five-minute walk from Galleria Fort Lauderdale, being real close to conventions and cruises at Port Everglades.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months customer service experience, a friendly/outgoing approach, a team player and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Previous barista experience is a plus but not essential.  

This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to begin their hospitality career.

Shift Pattern: AM shifts, starting as early as 6AM and ending by 1PM, with weekends and holiday availability requiered.

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour plus tips

What will I be doing?:

What will I be doing?

As a Barista, you would be responsible for greeting and serving guests beverages and/or food in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Greet guests and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner Brew, sell, promote and prepare beverages according to established recipes and standards Take guest beverage orders and accurately input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system Upsells additional items to enhance profitability. Maintains cleanliness of work area/outlet Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates and cards Requisition, stock and rotate products Secure and store all beverages, food and other equipment items Deposit cash drops, secure and balance bank and sign out/in keys Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
