Serves as an Accounting Technician at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ facility. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Accounting Technician in the Resale Accounting Branch (RAB) either in the Continental United States (CONUS) or Outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS) with responsibility for providing accountability support to designated stores, NEXMarts, and/ or Central Distribution Centers (CDCs).
This is a developmental position. Work assignments are progressively complex and intended to broaden your skills and provide you with practical experience to prepare you to perform at the target grade level.
Position responsibilities include:
Research exceptions to accounts receivables, account payables, inventory balances and other accounting transactions.
Resolves unpaid accounts payable problems that could include pricing, weight variances, case package counts, etc.
Reviews, analyzes and provides resolution for financial transaction exceptions. Reports recurring or high risk scenarios to higher management as they occur.
Process daily transactional input to the financial system. Responds to store and vendor inquires.
Uses various computer systems to process data into the accountable inventory systems.
