Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Event Assistant to join our team. The Event Assistant will work closely with our event planning team to support the coordination and execution of various events, ranging from corporate gatherings to community festivals. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in event management and contribute to the success of memorable events.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the planning and coordination of events from conception to completion.
* Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure all event details are understood and executed according to plan.
* Assist with venue selection, negotiations, and site visits.
* Assist in creating event timelines and schedules.
* Support marketing efforts for events, including social media promotion, email campaigns, and printed materials.
* Provide on-site support during events, including setup, registration, guest assistance, and breakdown.
* Handle inquiries and provide information to attendees and participants.
* Assist with post-event evaluations and debriefs to identify areas for improvement.
* Perform administrative tasks as needed, including maintaining event databases, filing paperwork, and managing inventory.
Requirements:
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
* Positive attitude, team player mentality, and willingness to take on new challenges.
* Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
