What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will participate in multiple multi-functional initiatives for Amgen North Carolina (ANC) warehouse. You will serve as warehouse Subject Matter Expert and as site representative on various multi-functional task forces and teams to ensure that consistent and well-integrated practices are developed throughout the organization. The focus of the Sr. Associate is to support activities leading to Operational Readiness, including process mappings, punchlists, floor support, gemba walks to ensure adequate safety and housekeeping practices, procedures drafting and approval, staff training and quality systems records, as well as warehouse equipment ownership.

  • Represent ANC Supply Chain in interdisciplinary system-related projects/initiatives and possibly lead work streams within such projects (e.g., process mappings with manufacturing).
  • Support Operational Excellence initiatives in Supply Chain processes, including data analysis and business case development.
Advising on to-be system and process design.Translating business requirements into system design specifications.Identify and lead warehouse risks.Owns change control and deviations records if applicable.Involvement in test process for new functionality.Training of end-users and/or trainers on new functionality.Serve as first point of contact for Key Users in case of warehouse related issuesOwn relevant Supply Chain procedures and conduct required periodic reviewsEnsure quality of data entry in ERP system.Establish relationships with key partners across multiple functional areas, both onsite and virtually.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED and 8 years of operations, business, or supply chain experience ORAssociates Degree and 6 years of operations, business, or supply chain experience ORBachelors degree and 2 years of operations, business, or supply chain experience ORMasters degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Supply Chain & Logistics Management, Information Technology, or Engineering educational background.Supply Chain experience with a focus on warehouse operations and systemsBasic knowledge of ERP (SAP) and SAP Warehouse Management (WM)Good understanding of Warehouse Master Data in SAPKnowledge of Information Technology, Supply Chain processes, and Operational ExcellenceGood understanding of current Good Manufacturing/Distribution PracticesQuick process understanding, insight and visualizingExperience in leading projects or work streams (multi-functional)Availability to support non-standard shift organization with the flexibility to work extended hours.Good organizational and communications skillsContinuous improvement mentality.Experience working in a global environment, ability to collaborate closely/communicate efficiently at different management levels.Proficient user of software applications (Excel, Smartsheet, Skype, Tableau).Consistent and good communication within Supply Chain and throughout all of Amgen and across all sites.
