Essential Job Functions
- Identifies, documents, and prioritizes operational requirements and needs related to academic and operational processes by creating appropriate artifacts and communicates this information to various stakeholders
- Proposes, evaluates and implements changes to streamline operations and existing processes while maximizing opportunities for data-driven decision-making
- Serves as liaison with Information Technology (IT) and other university departments, as needed, for new technology or systems, projects, and initiatives to support defining and streamlining product roadmaps based on university needs
- Serves as the systems representative on large universitywide projects
- Develops dashboards and reports with guidance from various university departmental leadership while monitoring key performance indicators and suggesting ways to optimize processes to promote successful outcomes
- Manages projects, as directed, using standard project management techniques
- Manages departmental documentation for university processes, requirements, and proposed solutions using industry-standard tools
- Coordinates and executes university system trainings for employees, as needed, and manages the communication plan for key system and process changes
- Reviews the university’s current technology systems and processes and identifies inefficiencies that need to be addressed and provides solutions
- Assists with departmental budget
- Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in operations management, business management, business analysis, project management, data analyst or other related experience
- Proficiency with a CRM system applied in a higher education setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology or a related field of study
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and Banner SIS
- Master’s degree
