Manufacturing Engineer

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

Understand, support and implement continuous improvement skills into daily work habits and consistently looks for areas of continuous improvement. Works with Maintenance and Die tooling in a Team driven environment to meet the goals of the plant and the company. Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, Rates and Flow based on the lean concept. Design, develop and test various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. Prepare quotations including layout concepts, processing and costs. Initiate new tooling purchase requests, budget summaries and supplier quotes for submission and approval. Follow equipment progress at supplier’s facility as needed for new equipment. Participate and drive cross-functional equipment design reviews. Maintain new project program books including Gantt charts, build schedules and cost tracking. Support new model launches and improvement teams.  Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.  Prepare and maintain detailed layout of plant and machines. Ensure list of perishables are provided to Maintenance, Tool Room and Purchasing on new equipment.

 

This full-time salary role is a part of our Engineering team and will report to the Engineering Manager.

 

Required experience:

·         Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; And/or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, processes, and methodologies.

·         Preferred experience in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.

·         Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

·         Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Microsoft Office at an intermediate level

·         Effective email and electronic communication skills are required.
