BUDTENDER

JOB DESCRIPTION

20 - 34 hours/week

Buzz Box has an immediate opening for Budtenders at their Powell Blvd location. The ideal candidate will have previous experience Budtending in Portland, be a self-starter, have an existing knowledge surrounding the cannabis industry and will provide stellar customer service daily.

Budtenders must be detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. We are looking for flexible, hardworking team-oriented people to staff our dispensary.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities:

Must have a full and complete understanding of all rules and regulations relating to the retail sale of marijuana products to both recreational and medical consumers.

Promote a positive work environment.

Accurate and timely data entry of customer information.

Maintain a positive image of the brand at all times

Verifying proper paperwork, and ID for customers

Maintain organization and cleanliness if the facility at all times.

Be a credible product and brand expert by educating consumers on the benefits of cannabis products

Opening and closing the store without direct managerial supervision at times

Taking advantage of any downtime by:

-General cleaning and store upkeep

-Cleaning and organizing according to the daily task list

-Checking compliance issues related to items on sales floor

-Making sure that proper backstock is on the floor at all times

-Working with product (in-house prerolls, flower trimming, etc.)

Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

Cash handling and point of sale experience

Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Willing to regularly work mornings, evenings, and weekends based on business needs

Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older

Reliable transportation

Must be able to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis

OLCC Workers Permit

Professional appearance and demeanor while working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers

Preferred

Previous bud-tending experience

Working knowledge of OLCC cannabis laws and regulations

Knowledge of marijuana strains and products

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves continually and uses repetitive motions. The position is subject to lifting objects weighing over 25 pounds and may require going up/down stairs at some locations.
